New Massage Technology Protocols Can Tone Body, Offer Pain Relief
I’ve always found the phrase “Out with the old, in with the new,” a little harsh. What happens if the ‘old’ works just fine – must ‘new’ automatically replace it simply because it’s the freshest, sexiest concept? To my way of thinking it’s better to evolve the things we know that are already working into something even better -- or different. Take Endermologie® for example. Here is a tried and true massage technology that has been around for several years that offers visible results. For nearly a decade, men and women have enjoyed its relaxing, deep-tissue massage capabilities that can leave users with a more toned, defined body overall, and for women the elimination of the appearance of cellulite. But even Endermologie had to evolve eventually. While some people have long enjoyed its slimming and toning effects, a new Endermologie-based protocol called Endermo®Therapy is helping athletes at every level improve strength, flexibility and endurance while other people find they can better manage – or eliminate – joint and muscle pain. Endermologie is the first patented process and technology cleared by the FDA as a therapeutic massage technique to tone the body and reduce the appearance of cellulite and abdominal fat. It is incredibly relaxing but with clear benefits. An Endermologie treatment is provided by trained, certified technicians and feels like a deep-tissue sports massage.
The LPG Endermologie machine – powerful rollers with a smooth, mechanized suction process – is endorsed by a variety of plastic surgeons and dermatologists and produces results that other invasive processes, including liposuction, cannot. The massage provides visible results by increasing blood circulation – up to 400 percent – which can result in a smoothing and tightening effect of the treated region, including hips, thighs and buttocks for women and abs and waist for men.
EndermoTherapy offers protocols that focus on pain management, rehabilitation and flexibility through completely different massage techniques. Results can be enhanced
by working with a chiropractor or other health professional. The practice is gaining popularity for use in chronic pain relief from many conditions, including fibromyalgia, lower back pain, neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic shoulder conditions, and knee and ankle pain.
EndermoTherapy works by stretching the contracted - and painful - muscle fibers as well as increasing blood and lymph circulation, which can lead to more rapid healing. The process also mobilizes soft tissue (muscles, ligaments), making it more flexible and functional, and leading to a faster return to normal physical activity.
It’s also effective because it can decrease the amount of chemical irritants around the muscle – and thus pain – by reducing swelling through increased metabolism and circulation.
No matter what your goals, a series of massages, combined with a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise, a balanced diet and plenty of hydration – may produce the best long-term results.
Both protocols work for men and women, though many women seek out Endermologie to treat cellulite alone. Because each increases blood circulation, they help burn fat and can lead to a more contoured, toner body.
It may not be a revolution, but for Endermologie enthusiasts it’s a welcome evolution.
